Carbon Neutral Adelaide combat food waste with OzHarvest
SEPTEMBER 2017. Carbon Neutral Adelaide are excited to sponsor OzHarvest’s Great Food Rescue Race on 3 November!
Food waste accounts for 35% of Australian household garbage, with 4 million tonnes of it sent to landfill yearly.
The OzHarvest Great Food Rescue Race raises awareness on current food waste and food security issues, while promoting ways in which individuals can reduce waste and give back to the community.
Teams will work together to complete a series of cooking, nutrition and food-rescue themed challenges across the Adelaide CBD while raising vital funds for OzHarvest’s South Australian operations.
The Carbon Neutral Adelaide team will also compete in this year's race.
You can help OzHarvest redirect food from landfill to the plates of hungry South Australians by sponsoring the Carbon Neutral Adelaide team in the Great Food Rescue Race.
Donations over $2 are tax deductible, and every dollar provides two nutritious meals to those in need. Donate here.
