The University of South Australia’s Research Node for Low Carbon Living is committed to the journey to a Carbon Neutral Adelaide through developing the evidence base to support cost effective actions by industry, government and the community. With climate change as the greatest challenge facing the global community, the Node is the state’s premier hub for multi-disciplinary industry-driven research into all aspects of a low carbon built environment. The Node conducts technological, social and economic research facilitating the development and utilisation of low carbon products, services, transport, buildings and precincts.

What University of South Australia’s Research Node for Low Carbon Living is doing to reduce carbon emissions

The Node is committed to carbon emission reduction and encourages local action by:

  • providing technical support and guidance on the decarbonisation of campuses at the University of South Australia
  • hosting Industry Friends Forums to engage local industry on taking action
  • undertaking industry-driven research into all aspects of low carbon living
  • communicating research findings
  • providing scholarships for higher degree research students solving barriers to a low carbon future.
