Treasure Boxes is a South Australian children's not-for-profit providing vital essentials to babies, children and teens living in disadvantage in our community.

Why Treasure Boxes is supporting Carbon Neutral Adelaide

Treasure Boxes is passionate about providing essential items to babies, kids and teens. This enterprise rehomes essential items that would often end up in landfill and therefore play a powerful role in waste reduction. Increasing reuse in the community contributes to efforts to reduce over-consumption of new and particularly imported goods, with the associated energy and transport required, for items that are only used for a short time.

What Treasure Boxes is doing to reduce carbon emissions

Treasure boxes provide vital essentials to the community and between July 2020 and June 2021, Treasure Boxes supported 1,368 babies, kids and teens. A significant portion of the items provided come directly from donations from the community and are good quality second-hand items. This prevents families and organisations from purchasing brand new items for themselves or their clients.
