The business relies on people-powered transport to show off the best parts of the beautiful city of Adelaide. Walking tours are conducted regularly around the city, and when it’s too far to walk, Square Mile Tours partners with excellent local businesses like Treadly Bike Hire and EcoCaddy. Partnerships also extend to owner-operator bars, cafes and restaurants that strive to source local, seasonal, organic and biodynamic produce, reducing food-miles and pressure on the fragile ecosystem.

In Square Mile Tours’ own operations, conscious efforts are made to operate paperless, with online booking and voucher systems. Recycled stock is used to print marketing collateral and office expenses are shared amongst a co-working community. As a small business, it’s easy and cost effective to implement carbon reducing practices, and Square Mile Tours aims to continue to develop these practices as the business grows.
