AC Energy Efficiency Group (MAC) was established in 2014 to provide training, mentoring and field auditing services for businesses involved in the energy efficiency certificate schemes.
MAC understands that it can be daunting for businesses to transition to carbon neutral or energy efficient operating models and can help with training, compliance and translating regulations and technical terminology.
MAC works with regulators, energy retailers and local businesses to educate them on their obligations under the SA Retailer Energy Efficiency Scheme and how to apply the regulations in everyday business activities.
MAC’s team has worked in the energy industry specialising in energy efficiency regulations, certificate creation and training since 2007 and has a philosophy of ‘getting it right, from the start’.
The team launched a unique, first of its kind training portal EEIQ to provide online tutorials for electricians and plumbers carrying out energy efficiency upgrades in South Australian businesses and households. EEIQ is designed to help installers and businesses comprehend and apply the extensive regulations, policy and code on emission abatement technology and requirements. Designed in animation and film clips, EEIQ aims to educate any technical trade regardless of their reading and writing abilities or their metro versus regional location. This reflects MAC’s belief that providing access to best practice, standardised training platforms will increase participation, education of community and increase employment opportunities in more regional and remote locations.
