By leveraging sustainable real estate practices in their operations, Knight Frank continue to influence and improve the built environment through resource conservation, emission mitigation and stakeholder engagement.
Apart from minimising their own carbon footprint, Knight Frank are assisting their clients to achieve and exceed their asset’s environmental goals and objectives. The following seven key Sustainability Commitments are central to their service delivery and partnership with their clients and create a real reduction in environmental impact within the assets they manage:
Knight Frank (SA) are a CitySwitch signatory and were the South Australian 2015 winner for a tenancy under 2,000m². They believe that they need to ‘walk the talk’ and take a leadership role as a responsible real estate services company in reducing their carbon footprint. They have demonstrated this to their staff and clients by reducing their environmental impact through minimising their resource usage. They are still working with CitySwitch and are developing additional action plans to further minimise their impact on the environment. Being in real estate and managing properties (commercial, industrial and retail) provides Knight Frank with an opportunity to influence the way buildings operate and to assist their clients (Landlords and Tenants) in improving the energy efficiency of properties. They also have an influence in the supply chain and work with their service providers to encourage them to be more sustainable in their own operations and the products they use to have a positive effect on the environment.
