JLB’s core specialisation is in developing ISO compliant management systems across a broad range of industries in both the corporate sector and government agencies. These standards provide a framework for businesses to work in harmony with the environment, recognising potential hazards and minimising negative impacts. JLB passionately believes in the principles of these standards and strongly supports all initiatives which seek to improve the environment and resources we all share. What JLB is doing to reduce carbon emissions
JLB has always had a strong philosophy of ‘practice what we preach’, and so have operated under the principles of ISO 14001 and 50001 since their release. JLB’s Integrated Management System ensures impacts on the environment are minimised, energy efficiency is maximised and so helps other South Australian businesses achieve the same. Despite being a small business, JLB consistently applies carbon footprint reduction techniques. Carpooling, recycling and reuse strategies are used daily in addition to carbon offset investments when possible. JLB maintains KPIs and key business improvement plans which focus on reducing environmental impact and encourages employees to do the little things, both at work and at home. JLB’s recent building renovation has implemented a raft of energy saving measures from lighting, climate control, use of recycled materials, and providing the opportunity to invest in renewables.
As a proud South Australian business, JLB continues to assist other South Australian organisations in the development and maintenance of Environmental and Energy Management Systems, to align with the direction, objectives and targets of Carbon Neutral Adelaide, global best practice, and the International Standards.
