Why Hyundai Motor Company Australia is supporting Carbon Neutral Adelaide

The company takes pride in design, safety and quality; building cars that deliver affordable technology to all Australians. Hyundai is now entering the field of low emissions transport, offering a range of environmentally friendly solutions in the market worldwide.  In March 2019, Hyundai launched the Kona Electric – a 100% electric SUV vehicle - in the Adelaide CBD. Hyundai also showcased the EV charging infrastructure that has been completed by the City of Adelaide and the Government of South Australia.

What Hyundai Motor Company Australia is doing to reduce carbon emissions

Hyundai Motor Group aims to launch 44 new eco models globally by 2025 and seeks to be the largest manufacturer in this segment. Their green car development strategy is based upon establishing a range of flexible car designs and to react swiftly to market changes. Specifically, these include hydrogen fuel cell electric, battery electric, hybrid electric and plug-in hybrid electric.

The company launched the Kona Electric SUV in Australia in March 2019, and battery electric IONIQ (also available in hybrid and plug-in hybrid) in December 2018. In January 2019, Hyundai Motor Company also started production of the NEXO hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle.
