Cool or Cosy is enormously proud to support the efforts of Carbon Neutral Adelaide by helping the City of Adelaide become the world’s first carbon neutral city. Established in 1984, Cool or Cosy is now the largest manufacturer and installer of solar panel systems and cellulose insulation in Australia. Having been an early advocate of being green and carbon neutral, Cool or Cosy is excited to be involved in such a transitional project to create a better environment for everyone.
Cool or Cosy undertakes any type of energy efficiency project from a small domestic extension to large commercial projects with a range of safe, efficient and locally manufactured products. Since humble beginnings in 1984, Cool or Cosy has installed insulation in over 40,000 homes and businesses, solar systems on over 8,000 homes and businesses, and manufactured over a quarter of a million Australian made Tindo solar panels. This means Cool or Cosy has arguably contributed more to carbon emission reductions in South Australia than any other local company.
Cool or Cosy also owns Australia's only solar panel manufacturer Tindo, a shining example of local ingenuity providing world class products that are specifically engineered for Australian conditions. Tindo solar panels are made for life, designed to respect the sun to deliver on product and performance warranty, and are being installed as part of the City of Adelaide’s Solar Savers Adelaide program. Based in Adelaide, Tindo designs and manufactures technologically advanced solar panels for Australia and the world, creating Australian jobs in the advanced manufacturing sector. The name Tindo means sun and is a word from the Kaurna Warra Aboriginal language of the peoples indigenous to the Adelaide plains on which Tindo’s solar panel manufacturing plant is situated.
