What Boileau Business Technology is doing to reduce carbon emissions
Boileau provides solutions that play an integral part in reducing the carbon emissions of office environments in South Australia, including in Boileau’s own operations. Boileau’s commitment and innovative solutions were recognised with the 2017 Fuji Xerox sustainability award, recognising the awareness amongst staff and suppliers Boileau has created of how to work towards minimising environmental effects and apply best practice standards. These initiatives include:
- implementing monitoring applications for carbon footprint assessments in hundreds of South Australian business and working with them to identify areas for improvement
- scan and workflow solutions that reduce the need for paper by implementing electronic processes
- recycling 80% of all copiers, finishers and paper devices at the end of product life
- continual commitment to improve environmental performance and minimise the social impact of all business activities - reducing energy use by 42.8% over two years following the installation of solar panels and reducing water usages by 51% over 12 months with initiatives such as low flush cisterns and garden watering systems.
