A recent example of Aurecon’s sustainability expertise is the fit-out for the Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources at 81 Waymouth Street, Adelaide which was the first project of its kind in Australia to receive a 6 Star Green Star Interiors rating after the first assessment.

The carbon footprint of Aurecon’s own facilities is reduced by applying greener building practices and through the use of sustainable transport. Initiatives have included energy-efficient light fittings, high performance glass to maximise natural lighting whilst minimising heat gain, and heating ventilation and air conditioning systems that incorporate efficient chillers and demand controlled ventilation.
