BBQ Buoys has always sought to protect the environment and reduce carbon emissions. Initiatives have included recycling, using digital media rather than printing, cloud based booking systems and accounting software, digitalised receipts, paperless payslips and a customised check-in app allowing the digital signature of waivers. BBQ Buoys has also purchased efficient 4-stroke motors for hire vessels and is in discussion with the City of Adelaide to change to e-motorisation. A unique gas fitting solution has also meant that new clean LPG gas barbecues have replaced charcoal BBQs.
